In Reception the class teachers are Mrs Ralph and Miss MacDonald.

We have a very exciting term ahead!  Please have a look at the links  on this page to see what we will be learning about this term.

are so excited for you to start and wish we could meet you in person but, as we
can’t, we thought you might like to see who we are!

Miss MacDonald

I’m Miss MacDonald. I have been teaching for
ten years and Reception is definitely my favourite year group. I love
investigating and creating and making a lot of mess while learning!

My favourite children’s books are anything by Oliver Jeffers or Roald Dahl.

I always have a cup of tea in my hand and a
big smile. I have two guinea pigs and love sharing all
their silly adventures and hearing all about your adventures at home too.

I can’t wait to meet you in September.

Mrs Ralph

I am Mrs Ralph and I have taught in EYFS and other year groups for 9 years. I love teaching in Reception as it is such an important year to settle into school alongside beginning a lifelong love of learning.

I have 3 children of my own and most of my spare time is spent with my family and friends, reading, listening to music and travelling.

I have many favourite books and authors and I especially like funny stories. I enjoy puzzles and games too! We will soon be finding new ways of learning through play and exploration. See you soon…

Mrs Crisp

I’m Mrs Crisp. I have been teaching in Early
Years for 25 years;12 of those years have been at Firs Primary Academy.

My favourite part of the school day is story
time. I love using character voices and props! Do you have a favourite story?

I like ‘The Tiger Who Came To Tea’ by Judith Kerr.

I enjoy going for walks with my dog, Whisky,
and my two boys.

I can’t wait to read you a story in September.

See you soon !
