Blue Cross – ‘What Pets Need

As part of our cultural capital offer, we were delighted to welcome a visitor from the Blue Cross to deliver an engaging assembly entitled ‘What Pets Need’. This session was thoughtfully designed for pupils aged 5 to 11 and focused on the five key welfare needs of animals. 

The assembly explored everything pets need to stay happy, healthy and well cared for. Through this interactive talk, pupils deepened their understanding of responsible pet ownership, animal care, and welfare. 

This experience enriched our pupils’ learning beyond the classroom by promoting empathy, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility towards animals.
